On Tuesday, December 3, Clay County CEO traveled to Carbondale to visit the Small Business Development Center and SIUC College of Business and Analytics. The team was honored to start their morning with a visit to the SBDC to speak with Michael Jessup, the interim director. As a long-time business owner, Mr. Jessup was able to walk the group through the three different ways to develop a business as well explaining the free resources offered by the SBDC that help ensure the success and viability of entrepreneurs all around the area.

The students were treated to lunch at Lentz Dining Hall courtesy of the College of Business before they moved to a campus tour and visit to the College of Business. Director of Enrollment Management, Rachel Richey, spoke to the group about the programs offered by SIUC as well as courses that would transfer from junior colleges.

A huge thank you to Michael Jessup (SIU Small Business Development Center) and Rachel Richey for treating us to a day of valuable knowledge and networking!
